Fake News and the Fathers of Suspicion

Presented by USF Associate Professor Dr. Adam DeVille, “Fake News and the Fathers of Suspicion: Learning from Freud, Marx and Evagrius” is the first in a series offered by USF Department of Philosophy and Theology faculty throughout the academic year.

Dr. DeVille will discuss how and why Christians should engage Marx and Freud, and what these famous men, together with the first monastic “psychologist,” Evagrius of Pontus, have to teach us about the desire to deceive and be deceived.

All lectures in the Philosophy and Theology series are free and open to the public.
